Scientific Bird Illustration Workshop: “Color and Science in Feathers”
Saturday 13 & Sunday, September 14 – 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to portray the beauty of birds with scientific accuracy and artistic sensitivity. This space combines art, detailed observation, and taxonomic knowledge in a creative and rigorous experience.
What will you learn?
Throughout the workshop, you'll dive into the fundamentals of anatomical drawing with birds as the main subject. We’ll cover:
🖌️ Basic drawing theory: proportions, light, shadows, and textures
🌈 Color theory and technical use of colored pencils
🧪 Use of turpentine as a blending medium to enrich technique
📐 Sketching, base drawing, color application, and final details
🔍 Elements of scientific illustration: scientific name, taxonomy, and morphological accuracy
What will you achieve?
By the end, each participant will have created their own basic scientific bird illustration,drawn on paper and completed step by step. More than just a drawing, it will be a piece where science and art meet with elegance.
